Who Runs EmeraldSteel Accounting?

Andrew Holder MAAT AATQB, Accountant & Owner

EmeraldSteel Accounting is run by me, Andrew Holder.

As a family-run practice ourselves, we understand first-hand the challenges and priorities faced by family businesses and owner-managers — balancing work, personal commitments and long-term security.

Outside of work, we are a family with a young daughter and a lively household that includes our three cats. This perspective shapes how we work with clients: we appreciate the importance of flexibility, clear communication and practical advice that fits around real life, not just spreadsheets and deadlines.

Being a family practice means clients deal with real people who care about their business, not a faceless firm or call centre.

Qualifications and Experience

Experienced and licensed accountant for your business

Andrew is a fully qualified and AAT-licensed accountant, with a strong academic and professional background in accounting and finance.

Qualifications include:
● AAT Licensed Accountant
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance.
● Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance.

Andrew has over 8 years’ experience working in accountancy practice, supporting clients across a wide range of industries and business structures. This includes sole traders, partnerships, family-run businesses and owner-managed limited companies at various stages of growth.

In addition, we provide higher-level business support such as management accounts, cashflow forecasting and budgeting, R&D tax credit claims, and EIS / SEIS advance assurance and full applications. These services are designed to support informed decision making and sustainable growth.

Location and How We Work

We work remotely with clients across the UK using secure, cloud-based accounting systems. This allows us to provide efficient, responsive support regardless of location.

For clients who prefer in-person meetings, we also offer face-to-face appointments across North Wales, Chester, Manchester, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.
